Our Mission
The mission of the Atwater Women's Club shall further the social and philanthropic interests of the community and its members.
One of the Atwater Women’s Club’s proudest responsibilities is maintaining our historic Clubhouse—a cherished local landmark that has served as a gathering place for nearly a century. In fact, we’ll be celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2026!
Throughout the year, our members are actively involved in a range of meaningful initiatives that support and uplift the Atwater community. These include scholarships for graduating seniors at Atwater High School and Buhach Colony High School, Christmas gifts for local children through Toys for Tots, support for the Kings View Work Experience Center, contributions to Rose Julia Tranquility Village, and organizing a Thanksgiving canned food drive.
From September through May, we host monthly luncheon meetings where members come together to connect, share ideas, and plan upcoming activities. We also organize a variety of social events year-round—celebrating community, friendship, and the spirit of giving that defines the Atwater Women’s Club.
About Us
Atwater Women's Club
The Atwater Women's Club, located at 1201 Grove Avenue in Atwater, California, has been a cornerstone of community engagement and empowerment for women in the area. Established in 1907, the club was founded by a group of local women who recognized the need for a supportive space to foster social connections, promote civic responsibility, and contribute to the betterment of Atwater. Their vision was to create an organization that would not only serve as a social gathering point but also as a platform for charitable activities and community service.
Over the decades, the Atwater Women's Club has remained dedicated to its mission, organizing various events, fundraisers, and community outreach programs. These initiatives have supported local schools, provided scholarships, and contributed to numerous charitable causes within the community. The club's commitment to service and its ability to adapt to the changing needs of Atwater have ensured its continued relevance and impact.
Today, the Atwater Women's Club continues to be a vital part of the community, offering a welcoming environment for women to connect, collaborate, and make a positive difference in Atwater and beyond. Its rich history is a testament to the enduring spirit of volunteerism and the power of women coming together to effect change.
